Texas General Lines Insurance Producer Pre-Licensing (Property & Casualty)

This 40-hour blended online course is prepared for Texas Department of Insurance provider registration under TIC §4004.052 and course filing under 28 TAC §19.1010-§19.1011 for License Type 4001 (General Lines Property and Casualty Agent). Enrollment, payment, certificates, completion reporting, and Texas prelicensing-credit claims remain closed until written TDI approval is on file.

Audience

Texas General Lines P&C producer candidates

After approval, this course is intended for Texas resident producer candidates pursuing License Type 4001 (General Lines Property and Casualty Agent). The General Lines license authorizes the holder to sell all P&C lines, including personal and commercial property, casualty, workers' compensation, surety, and specialty lines. Until written approval is posted, students who need credit should use a provider already accepted by TDI.

Certificates

No Texas credit before written approval

Certificate templates, completion-reporting workflows, and Sircon-style export controls are staged, but official certificates, completion reporting, and any Texas prelicensing-credit claim stay disabled until written TDI approval is received and the course is intentionally opened. Acting as an agent before written license issuance violates TIC §4001.101.

40 TDI credit-hour blended package

Delivery follows the 28 TAC §19.1010(d) blended classroom-equivalent structure: 24 hours of self-paced online classroom-equivalent instruction + 6 hours of live or recorded webinar interactive instruction + 10 hours of self-study, with seat-time enforcement on every lesson and a randomized final drawn from a 300+ item bank requiring 70% to pass per 28 TAC §19.1010(e).

Review gates

What must happen before launch

The public page is intentionally approval-dependent. It documents readiness without suggesting that the course is already approved, open, or usable for a Texas licensing requirement.

Qualified insurance subject-matter review of Texas law cards, rationales, examples, and final exam alignment
TDI provider registration ($50 under TIC §4004.052) before any course filing
Written TDI course approval before checkout, enrollment, certificates, reporting, or credit claims
Planned post-approval tuition: $279.99 planned after TDI approval (mastery rebate plan $329.99 with $60.00 rebate at 90%+ first-attempt = $269.99 net)
Candidates must verify current Pearson VUE Texas Insurance Candidate Information Bulletin parameters (question count, time limit, scoring rules) on test day
