Course purpose
Bilingual online 3-hour Alabama insurance producer ethics CE - the ethics requirement of Alabama's producer continuing education (24 hours of continuing education per two-year license term, including 3 hours of ethics; Ala. Code Title 27, Chapter 27-8A; Ala. Admin. Code ch. 482-1-110). It covers the producer's fiduciary duty and standard of conduct; Alabama's unfair trade practices law (the Alabama Insurance Trade Practices Law, Ala. Code Title 27, Chapter 12 (general prohibition at § 27-12-2) - misrepresentation, twisting, rebating, unfair claim settlement); the annuity best-interest standard and its four obligations (Ala. Admin. Code ch. 482-1-137 (Suitability and Best Interest in Annuity Transactions; best-interest duties at 482-1-137-.06, one-time 4-hour producer training at 482-1-137-.06.1), effective January 1, 2022); replacement, suitability, privacy, and conflicts of interest; insurance fraud; and Alabama Department of Insurance producer licensing and discipline (Ala.
