Course purpose
Alabama's ongoing long-term care producer training - the 4 hours of LTC training required in each 24-month period after the initial training (Ala. Admin. Code r. 482-1-091-.32). It reviews LTC policy provisions and consumer protections, inflation protection and nonforfeiture, suitability and replacement, and the federal-state Partnership framework - then the Alabama Long-Term Care Insurance Partnership Program and the dollar-for-dollar asset disregard, and Alabama Medicaid (administered by the Alabama Medicaid Agency), with the unfair trade practices law (the Alabama Insurance Trade Practices Law, Ala. Code Title 27, Chapter 12 (general prohibition at § 27-12-2)) and producer discipline (Ala. Code § 27-7-19 (producer licensing under Title 27, Chapter 7)) - with lesson knowledge checks, a final exam, a certificate, and CE reported to Alabama Department of Insurance through the NAIC State Based Systems (SBS). Delivered as a bilingual online 4-hour course.
