Course purpose
Arizona's one-time annuity training a producer with a life line of authority must complete before selling, soliciting, or negotiating annuities (A.R.S. section 20-1243.07). It teaches the best-interest standard of A.R.S. section 20-1243.03 (NAIC 2020 model adopted by SB 1557, effective January 1, 2021) and its four obligations - care, disclosure, conflict of interest, and documentation - plus the six required training topics (types and classifications; the parties to an annuity; how product features affect consumers; income taxation of qualified and non-qualified annuities; the primary uses of annuities; and appropriate standards of conduct, sales practices, replacement, and disclosure), with Arizona's Unfair Practices and Frauds article (A.R.S. sections 20-441 to 20-469.01) and DIFI discipline (A.R.S. section 20-295) - with lesson knowledge checks, a final exam, a certificate, and CE reported to DIFI through the provider (PSI/SBS). Delivered as a bilingual online 4-credit course.
Acceptance responsibility
There is no single national approval body for this type of education course. If a court, officer, employer, school, or agency assigned the course, confirm that they accept an online certificate course before paying or relying on completion.
