Course purpose
Arizona's initial long-term care producer training required before soliciting, selling, or negotiating long-term care insurance (A.R.S. section 20-1691.12). It teaches LTC fundamentals and benefit design; the federal tax-qualified standard; suitability, underwriting, inflation protection, and replacement; and the six statutory training topics, including the Arizona Qualified State Long-Term Care Insurance Partnership Program (A.R.S. section 20-1691 et seq.) and its dollar-for-dollar Medicaid asset disregard. It explains Arizona Medicaid - the Arizona Health Care Cost Containment System (AHCCCS) - and its long-term care line, the Arizona Long Term Care System (ALTCS); the Partnership's relationship to ALTCS eligibility; and the Unfair Practices and Frauds article (A.R.S. sections 20-441 to 20-469.01) with DIFI discipline (A.R.S. section 20-295) - with lesson knowledge checks, a final exam, a certificate, and CE reported to DIFI through the provider (PSI/SBS). Delivered as a bilingual online 8-hour course.
Acceptance responsibility
There is no single national approval body for this type of education course. If a court, officer, employer, school, or agency assigned the course, confirm that they accept an online certificate course before paying or relying on completion.
