Indiana Independent Adjuster Prelicensing (40-Hour)

This 40-hour internet self-study prelicensing course is prepared for Indiana Department of Insurance (IDOI) provider/course filing under IC 27-1-28 for the Independent Adjuster license. Enrollment, payment, certificates, completion reporting, and any Indiana prelicensing-credit claim remain closed until written IDOI approval is on file.

Audience

Indiana Independent Adjuster candidates

After IDOI approval, this course is intended for Indiana resident candidates pursuing the Independent Adjuster license to handle property and casualty claims for compensation across personal auto, homeowners, dwelling fire, commercial property, commercial general liability, workers' compensation, medical malpractice, professional liability, marine, aviation, crime, cyber, surety, and excess & surplus lines. Until written approval is posted, students who need credit must use a provider already accepted by IDOI.

Certificates

No Indiana credit before written approval

Certificate templates, completion-reporting workflows, and Sircon-style export controls are staged, but official certificates, completion reporting, and any Indiana prelicensing-credit claim stay disabled until written IDOI approval is received and the course is intentionally opened. IC 27-1-28 prohibits adjusting claims in Indiana for compensation without an active IDOI-issued license.

40-hour IDOI credit-hour package, 7 sequential lessons

Delivery follows the IDOI prelicensing internet self-study structure: sequential lessons, active seat-time tracking on every lesson, identity verification, embedded knowledge checks, final-exam affidavit, and a randomized 100-question Pearson-VUE-style course final at 70% passing with a 24 property / 26 casualty / 26 claims-practice / 24 Indiana law and ethics split. The course final is aligned to the published Pearson VUE Indiana Independent Adjuster examination format and supports state-exam preparation.
