Course purpose
Bilingual online 3-hour Missouri insurance producer ethics CE - the ethics requirement of Missouri's producer continuing education (16 hours of continuing education per two-year licensing period, including 3 hours covering ethics, Missouri law, and producer duties; RSMo 375.020; 20 CSR 700-3.200). It covers the producer's fiduciary duty and standard of conduct; Missouri's unfair trade practices law (the Missouri Unfair Trade Practice Act, RSMo 375.930 to 375.948 - misrepresentation, twisting, rebating, unfair claim settlement); the annuity best-interest standard and its four obligations (20 CSR 400-5.900 (Suitability in Annuity Transactions; best-interest standard at (4)(A), one-time 4-credit producer training at (5)), effective August 30, 2024); replacement, suitability, privacy, and conflicts of interest; insurance fraud; and Missouri Department of Commerce and Insurance producer licensing and discipline (RSMo 375.141 (producer licensing under RSMo 375.014 to 375.022)) - with lesson knowledge checks, a final exam, a certificate, and CE reported to Missouri Department of Commerce and Insurance through the NAIC State Based Systems (SBS).
