Course purpose
Montana's ongoing long-term care producer training - the four hours of LTC training required in each 24-month period after the 8-hour initial training (MCA 33-22-1128). It reviews LTC policy provisions and consumer protections, inflation protection and nonforfeiture, suitability and replacement, the federal-state Partnership framework, and Montana Medicaid (administered by the Montana Department of Public Health and Human Services (DPHHS), Senior and Long-Term Care Division), with the Montana Unfair Trade Practices Act (MCA Title 33, Chapter 18; unfair claim settlement practices MCA 33-18-201) and the Montana Commissioner of Securities and Insurance (CSI), Office of the Montana State Auditor discipline (MCA Title 33, Chapter 17) - with lesson knowledge checks, a final exam, a certificate, and CE reporting. Delivered as a bilingual online 4-hour course.
