Course purpose
Bilingual online 3-hour Oklahoma insurance producer ethics CE - the ethics requirement of Oklahoma's producer continuing education (24 hours of continuing education biennially, including 3 hours of ethics and a 2-hour legislative update; OAC Title 365, Chapter 25). It covers the producer's fiduciary duty and standard of conduct; Oklahoma's unfair trade practices law (36 O.S. §§ 1201 et seq. (Unfair Practices and Frauds; unfair claims at 36 O.S. § 1250.1 et seq.) - misrepresentation, twisting, rebating, unfair claim settlement); the annuity best-interest standard and its four obligations (OAC 365:25-17-7.1 (OID Bulletin No. 6-2023), effective September 1, 2023); replacement, suitability, privacy, and conflicts of interest; insurance fraud; and Oklahoma Insurance Department producer licensing and discipline (36 O.S. § 1435.13 (Oklahoma Producer Licensing Act)) - with lesson knowledge checks, a final exam, a certificate, and CE reported to Oklahoma Insurance Department through the NAIC State Based Systems (SBS).
