Course purpose
Oklahoma's ongoing long-term care producer training - the 4 hours of LTC training required in each 24-month period after the initial training (OAC 365:25-3-1.4 (partnership rule OAC 365:10-5-54)). It reviews LTC policy provisions and consumer protections, inflation protection and nonforfeiture, suitability and replacement, and the federal-state Partnership framework - then the Oklahoma Long-Term Care Partnership Program and the dollar-for-dollar asset disregard, and SoonerCare (administered by the Oklahoma Health Care Authority (OHCA)), with the unfair trade practices law (36 O.S. §§ 1201 et seq. (Unfair Practices and Frauds; unfair claims at 36 O.S. § 1250.1 et seq.)) and producer discipline (36 O.S. § 1435.13 (Oklahoma Producer Licensing Act)) - with lesson knowledge checks, a final exam, a certificate, and CE reported to Oklahoma Insurance Department through the NAIC State Based Systems (SBS). Delivered as a bilingual online 4-hour course.
