40-hour seat-time requirement

Texas requires 40 creditable hours of TDI-approved prelicensing instruction for an adjuster prelicensing course under 28 TAC §19.1009. The course enforces active seat-time tracking under TIC §4004; the final remains locked until all lessons and the full 40-hour seat-time requirement are satisfied.

Course does not authorize adjuster activity

This course does not authorize the holder to act as a Texas adjuster. Tex. Ins. Code Ch. 4101 prohibits adjusting claims in Texas for compensation without an active TDI-issued adjuster license.
