Course purpose
Bilingual online 4-hour elective ongoing long-term care continuing-education course for Utah producers, a renewal-cycle refresher to the 8-hour course. Utah's separate LTC producer-training mandate was repealed in the 2026 legislative session, so this course is no longer required; it is offered as elective LTC CE under the Utah CE framework (Utah Admin. Code R590-142; Utah Code 31A-23a-202). It reviews LTC policy provisions and consumer protections, inflation protection and nonforfeiture, suitability and replacement, and the federal-state Partnership framework - then the Utah Long-Term Care Insurance Partnership Program (authorized effective October 1, 2014 under Utah Code Title 31A, Chapter 22, Part 14 and Utah Admin. Code R590-148, though not yet fully implemented) and the dollar-for-dollar asset disregard, and Utah Medicaid (administered by the Utah Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS), Division of Integrated Healthcare), with the unfair trade practices law (Utah Code § 31A-23a-402 (unfair marketing practices), Title 31A Chapter 23a Part 4) and producer discipline (Utah Code §§ 31A-23a-111 and 31A-23a-112) - with lesson knowledge checks, a final exam, a certificate, and CE reported to Utah Insurance Department through Sircon.
