3-hour Vermont insurance producer ethics CE - the ethics requirement of Vermont's producer continuing education (24 hours of continuing education per two-year cycle, including 3 hours of ethics; 8 V.S.A. § 4800a). It covers the producer's fiduciary duty and standard of conduct; Vermont's unfair trade practices law (8 V.S.A. §§ 4723-4724 (Insurance Trade Practices) - misrepresentation, twisting, rebating, unfair claim settlement); the annuity best-interest standard and its four obligations (DFR Regulation No. I-2023-01 (Suitability in Annuity Transactions), effective July 5, 2024); replacement, suitability, privacy, and conflicts of interest; insurance fraud; and Vermont Department of Financial Regulation producer licensing and discipline (8 V.S.A. § 4804 (Chapter 131)) - with lesson knowledge checks, a final exam, a certificate, and CE reported to Vermont Department of Financial Regulation through Prometric / Sircon.
