Questions about approval, pricing, completion, and certificates

These are the most common questions before enrolling in a Florida parent-education course or while comparing options.

Is this course approved by Florida DCF?

Yes. Approved by the Florida Department of Children and Families to offer the Parent Education and Family Stabilization Course in the State of Florida. Approval granted April 28, 2026. Current approval term through April 28, 2029.

Will my Florida court accept this course?

Florida courts in covered cases require completion of a DCF-approved Parent Education and Family Stabilization Course. This provider is approved by Florida DCF to offer the course in Florida. If your court or attorney needs to verify the provider, they can confirm the approval with DCF. Individual courts, judges, or attorneys may still have case-specific filing expectations, so confirm acceptance when you need that extra check before enrolling.

How much does the course cost?

The full public price is $13.99. No additional registration, materials, final-assessment, or certificate fee is added on top of that posted price. If you find a lower current public price for a comparable Florida course, you can request a manual price-match review before enrollment.

How long is the course?

The approved guidebook totals 240 minutes, or 4 hours. Participants complete 210 minutes of instruction across 8 modules before the 30-minute final assessment opens.

Is the course available in Spanish?

Yes. The public pages, course lessons, final assessment flow, and certificate path are available in English and Spanish.

Does each parent or party need a separate course?

Yes. Each required parent or party should create a separate account, complete the course separately, and receive a separate certificate of completion.

What score is required to pass?

Participants must pass the final assessment with at least 70 percent. Missed material is reviewed before a retake.

What if I do not pass the final assessment on the first try?

The participant reviews the missed material before a retake. No additional fee is charged for the required review or retesting.

How quickly is the certificate available?

The certificate becomes available as soon as the participant completes the full course minimum, satisfies identity verification, and passes the final assessment.

What does the certificate include?

The certificate includes the official course name, curriculum name, provider contact information, participant name, start date, finish date, the published course fee of $13.99, and a unique verification ID. It is released after the participant completes the full course, satisfies identity-verification controls, and passes the final assessment.

What if I need to stop and come back later?

The participant can return later and continue from the same student account. Course progress, identity setup, and certificate eligibility stay tied to that account.

What should I do with my certificate after I finish?

Keep a copy for your records and file or provide proof of completion to the court, your attorney, the clerk, or another recipient if your case requires it.

Do you offer price-match review?

Yes. The Florida course offers price-match review at $13.99. If you find a lower current public price for a comparable Florida online parent-education course, send the public link for manual review before enrollment. Qualifying verified prices can be applied under the posted terms.

Can I start the course on my phone or tablet?

Yes. The course is designed for modern phones, tablets, and computers with internet access, so participants can sign in from the device that works best for them.

Can I take the course at night or on weekends?

Yes. The course is built for online self-paced access, so participants can work through it whenever it fits their schedule and then return later if needed.

What if my attorney or the court asks for proof of completion?

The participant can download the certificate after the course requirements are met. The certificate includes the participant name, completion details, and a unique verification ID that supports authenticity checks.

Do I need my case number before I start?

Not always. If a participant has a case number or court details available, they should keep that information with their records so it can be provided wherever their case requires it.

What topics does the course cover?

The 8 modules cover divorce as loss, shared parenting, child development, communication with children, communication with the other parent, abuse awareness and reporting resources, general legal concepts, parenting-time planning, and the need for added support when a child has special needs or strong emotional concerns.

What if my child has special needs or serious emotional concerns?

This course provides general parent education, not individualized treatment planning. Children with identified special needs, developmental disabilities, or significant emotional or behavioral concerns may need more tailored support from qualified professionals who know the child's needs, school setting, and medical or counseling history.

Where can I review the refund policy?

The refund policy is posted on the site before purchase. Participants should review it before enrollment if they have questions about refunds or course use.

What if I need an accommodation?

Email admin@nationalcourseportal.com before enrolling if you need an accommodation or have an access concern, and the administrative team can review the request with you.

Is my information used only for course administration?

Enrollment, identity verification, completion records, and certificate information are used to administer the course, support verification, and handle student support and regulatory recordkeeping. The Privacy Policy explains the details.

Does the course provide legal advice or therapy?

No. The course is educational only. It does not replace individualized legal advice, mental-health treatment, crisis care, or counseling services.

What if I cannot afford the course fee?

Reduced-fee or free enrollment is available only after hardship review. You must submit a court-issued certificate of indigency or a court-issued fee waiver order. No other documentation is accepted. Applications are reviewed within 2 business days. Approval is case-by-case and a full fee waiver is not automatic. If your application is denied, you may email admin@nationalcourseportal.com within 7 days to request a second review. This policy complies with Rule 65C-32.002, which requires providers to offer a process for indigent participants.

What Florida rules govern this course?

This course is governed by Florida Statute 61.21 and Florida Administrative Code Rule 65C-32. Rule 65C-32.003 specifies the required course content areas, Rule 65C-32.004 specifies certificate requirements, and Rule 65C-32.002 governs online delivery standards. The full rule text is available on the Florida DCF website.

Will my court accept this certificate?

This course is approved by Florida DCF, which is the state agency that approves Parent Education and Family Stabilization Course providers.
