After successful completion (course time, lessons, knowledge checks, identity attestation, and the final exam), a verifiable PL 789E certificate is issued. Certificate issuance and OIC completion reporting are active.
State exam
After the course: two Pearson VUE state exams
West Virginia requires TWO separate Pearson VUE state exams for the Life + Accident & Health line: the WV Life exam and the WV Accident & Sickness exam, each 90 scored questions, 120 minutes, and 70% passing. Satisfactory completion of this approved 40-hour course is the prerequisite education before those exams.
Important limits
What this course does not do
Does not authorize the holder to act as a WV insurance producer; you must pass the Pearson VUE state exams and obtain an OIC license.
Does not replace the separate Pearson VUE WV Life and WV Accident & Sickness state exams.
The PL 789E certificate is valid for six (6) months from course completion under WV OIC policy.
