Students and licensees

Who the course is for

After certification, the course is intended for Washington workers who need MAST training for alcohol service, mixing, sales, supervision, tastings, growler fills, or related permit responsibilities. Until certification, students must use an already certified LCB provider for compliance.

Completion workflow

Certificate first, mailed MAST permit after processing

After certification and student enrollment open, a passing student receives an electronic Student Handbook and Certificate of Course Completion. The certificate is not the MAST permit. The provider prints, mails, and reports the MAST permit within 30 days after successful completion.

Six-module MAST course plan

The course follows the LCB-provided module structure and covers permit responsibilities, alcohol effects, ID checks, minors, apparently intoxicated persons, refusal skills, DUI and liability, documentation, Washington operating rules, final exam controls, handbook release, and survey workflow.

1

MAST program orientation, Class 12/Class 13 permits, provider duties, student records, navigation, and support

2

Alcohol effects, BAC, standard drinks, ABV/proof, cannabis and medication interactions, caffeine masking, metabolism, and alcohol poisoning

3

Acceptable identification, Washington ID features, physical inspection, questionable IDs, 10 ID exercises, minors, house policy, and penalties

4

Apparently intoxicated persons, DUI prevention, signs of intoxication, disability-aware observation, pacing, stopping service, transportation, and incident logging

5

DUI risk, implied consent, third-party injury risk, Good Samaritan response, case examples, daily notes, and documentation practice

6

Washington liquor laws, signs, lighting, minor areas and duties, service hours, pricing and advertising, cannabis, prohibited conduct, food service, final exam, handbook, certificate, and survey

Price-Match Review

Found a lower public price? We will match it.

If you find a lower current public price for a comparable online prep course, send it for manual review before you pay.

Request a price match
If you find a lower current public price for a comparable online prep course with an equivalent practice bank, submit the details before payment for manual review.
Free resources, guides, PDFs, videos, partial simulators, private coupons, expired promotions, bundles, and nonequivalent formats are not included.
The request must include a public verifiable competitor URL that a reviewer can open in an incognito window with no logged-in session, no affiliate code, no coupon code, and no private parameter. Screenshots without a URL, private links, login-gated pages, and bot-scraped prices are not accepted.
Free resources, free government courses, guides, PDFs, videos, forums, partial simulators, study materials, offers without a comparable certificate, offers without comparable reporting, and nonequivalent course formats are not equivalent paid offers for price matching.
The quoted price must be live and publicly available at the time National Course Portal's reviewer opens the URL. If the price changed, expired, or disappeared between submission and review, the request is closed without a match.
Aggregate per-student cap: no more than 2 price matches will be approved for the same student, account, email address, or payment method within any rolling 365-day window, summed across all courses.
Approved matches are valid for 48 hours from the approval notification. If the student does not complete checkout inside that window, the quote expires and a new request with a current verifiable public price is required.
